Who dosen't need a green argyle sweater!? I need at least 3 of them. These sweaters are made from a high quality fabric; not to light and not to heavy. They were designed to keep Londoners fashionable and warm during thoese cool summers nights and brisk fall days.
Did you know the argyle pattern was derived from the tartan of Clan Campbell of Argyll in western Scotland? Argyle knitwear became fashionable in Great Britian and then in the US after WWI. Pringle of Scotland, one of the worlds oldest continunally operating fashion companies, popularised the design, helped by its identification with the Duke of Windsor. The duke, like others, used the pattern for golf clothing.
